Migrate from Experts Marketplace to the Shopify Partner Directory

As of October 2023, the Experts Marketplace has been replaced by the Shopify Partner Directory. On this page, you can learn about what's changing, and how to migrate to the new directory.
What's changing

| Easier ways for clients to find your services | The new Partner Directory contains improvements to browsing, search, profile listings, reviews and sorted results. These features improve visibility and make it easier for merchants to discover and connect with quality Partners with a diverse set of skills. |
| Increased revenue for every project | You'll earn 100% of the revenue for the work you take on. Shopify will no longer take 10% of the total revenue collected, as is the case in the Experts Marketplace today. |
| Seamless ways to connect | Prospective clients can connect with Partners through a lead form submission in the directory for seamless collaboration on projects. |
| Off-platform communication and invoicing | For leads received through the directory, you can use your own tools and processes to communicate with the merchant and take payment for your work. |
Existing jobs
As of October 2023, you won't receive any further jobs from the Experts Marketplace. Merchants are redirected to the Shopify Partner Directory, and can navigate to the Experts Marketplace to view their existing jobs from the Partner Directory.
Starting in December 2023, merchants won't be able to access the Experts Marketplace.
Migrate to the Shopify Partner Directory
To successfully migrate from the Shopify Experts Marketplace to the Shopify Partner Directory, you might need to perform some or all of the following tasks:

| Review your profile | September 2023 | Your profile information was migrated from your current Experts Marketplace profile. However, some fields have been added, modified, or removed. Review and edit updated fields such as contact phone and email, additional locations, services provided and links to social media profiles to complete your profile and allow clients to find you easily. Learn more about Shopify Partner Directory profiles. |
| Identify communication and invoicing tools | September 2023 | For leads received through the directory, you need to use your own tools and processes to communicate with the merchant and take payment for your work. Consider identifying the tools that you want to use for your ongoing communication and invoicing needs. |
| Contact clients with ongoing work | Jobs continuing past November 2023 | Starting in December 2023, merchants won't be able to communicate with you through the Experts Marketplace. Make arrangements to continue working with these merchants off-platform. |
| Download records | Use the Shopify Partner API to retrieve any job or customer information that you want to keep for your records. Queries and objects related to the Experts Marketplace won't be used for the Shopify Partner Directory. |
