1. Login to control panel

2. Find Custom DNS Records at top of panel. Site Management -> Custom DNS Records.

3. Here you will be able to add the CNAME record needed to redirect your http://xxyyzz.myshopify.com address to your own domain address.

4. Select the hostname your trying to redirect your shop to (this is your domain name not the shopify name).

5. Select CNAME under type.

6. Enter your shopify address in the value section.

7. Leave TTL at 3600.

If you do not see any changes to your redirected domain name after 10-30 minutes, contact customer support with your issue. I had changed the CNAME record and two days later contacted support about the issue. I had to detail the issue to support by copy and pasting the entire shopify instructions into the support ticket since the technician did not understand my initial issue, simply described as a CNAME change not working. About 30 minutes later after the ticket was sent to a top level administrator, the issue was fixed and my domain appeared when I clicked through the shopify site.

Remember, you need to add the domain to the back end of the shopify admin under DNS & Domains.
