This page lets you create and organize the main navigation links which are available in every part of your shop. Each link is part of a particular link list. Your shop's themedetermines everything about how each of your link lists is displayed, or if a particular list is displayed at all.

Link lists

Your shop starts off with two ready-made link lists: Main Menu and Footer. These two can't be deleted, because all of the default themes use them and expect them to be present.

If you are modifying one of the themes included with Shopify or if you are creating your own, you can create other link lists to be shown to your users. Until you customize your theme to actually show another list, it will be completely invisible to your users.

Links

When you click add link in any of your link lists, you are presented with a simple interface to edit the link's text and destination. Depending on what kind of link you're making, you may be given more options to determine exactly where the link is going to lead.

After a link is created, it is shown in its list alongside its associated address. Unless your link points to an external site, the address shown is relative to your shop's main URL.
